October 21, 2026—Acclaimed Norwegian singer, songwriter, producer and independent artist Ane Brun unveils an accompanying music video for recent single, “Eat The Fruit.” Watch the video HERE. The track features Röyksopp and is taken from her forthcoming album I Thought We Were The Same, released on November 6 through BMG, pre-save HERE.

Alongside the video, Brun reveals 15 Nordic live dates for early 2027. Presale begins Friday, October 23 and general on sale is Monday, October 26. Sign up HERE.

For the “Eat The Fruit” video, Brun continues her creative collaboration with Elis Lindsten (director) and Hiroki Ichinose (creative direction). Following two young men through a night unfolding in reverse, it transforms a cold, unwelcoming dive bar into a surreal world of dance and connection, set to the track’s dark, bass-heavy electronic pulse.

Speaking about the video, Brun says, “I’m so excited to finally share the music video for ‘Eat the Fruit’ and to announce the Nordic tour 2027! I’m so grateful to Elis Lindsten and Hiroki Ichinose, the team behind the “Hold Me” video, for coming back to bring the song to life. I’m finally taking these new tracks out on the road, and soon me and my band get to perform for you again! I can’t wait to see your faces, hear you sing along and dance with us! Love, Ane.”

“Eat The Fruit” pushes Brun further into an expansive electronic-pop landscape while retaining the emotional depth that has defined her career. The song captures a restless desire for something more—fruit becomes a symbol of forward movement, self-worth and the courage to reach beyond your comfort zone.

Her new album, I Thought We Were The Same, is set for release on November 6 via BMG, pre-save the LP HERE. The album is Brun’s most personal and compelling album to date, and her first collection of newly written music in six years. It’s a powerful set of songs exploring trust, identity, betrayal and the remarkable human capacity to rebuild.

Written over three life-changing years, I Thought We Were The Same is Brun’s first collection of newly written music in six years. Exploring trust, identity, betrayal and the human capacity to rebuild, it expands the electronic-pop sound of After The Great Storm with distinct choruses and hooks. Alongside Röyksopp, collaborators include ARY on album opener “Hold Me” and Emilie Nicolas on “How Can I Hold Your Hand.”

At the heart of I Thought We Were the Same lies a universal question: what happens when the people we trust most become strangers? Rather than focusing on a single relationship, the album examines the fragile architecture of trust itself - how it shapes our lives, how easily it can fracture, and why, despite everything, we continue to choose connection. “This album became a way of understanding how deeply trust lives in us,” says Brun. “It’s extraordinary that we continue to trust each other, knowing it can be broken at any moment…”

For more than two decades, Ane Brun has built an extraordinary career entirely on her own terms. As an artist, producer and founder of her own label, she has earned international acclaim for her unmistakable voice, fearless creativity and uncompromising independence. With I Thought We Were the Same, she once again demonstrates why she remains one of contemporary music’s most distinctive and visionary artists.
