The cover feature comes fresh on the heels of a big week for León in Nashville—he attended and performed at Billboard’s Country Power Players event, performed at CMA Fest with Cody Johnson, participated in a panel discussion “Latino Trailblazers in Country” as well as surprised fans with a set at Spotify House.
León recently won his landmark Grammy Award for Best Música Mexicana Album at this past year’s ceremony, in addition to three Latin Grammy Awards, for his album Boca Chueca Vol. 1. He was the most nominated male artist for the 37th annual Premio Lo Nuestro awards, with an astounding 10 nominations.
He just released Palabra de To’s (Seca), the extended edition of his acclaimed album Palabra de To's, which was released in December of last year. The album, which was originally recorded live in Hermosillo, Sonora, includes four new unreleased tracks, highlighted by two stellar collaborations with Latin superstars and Maluma on “Si Tú Me Vieras” and Alejandro Fernández on “Me Está Doliendo.”
The album also features “Tres Pesos” and “Por La Suave,” a track that Carín debuted during his recent performance on the acclaimed NPR Tiny Desk Concert, which has accumulated over eight million views—watch the performance here.
