CARÍN LEÓN AND ALEJANDRO FERNÁNDEZ UNITE TWO GENERATIONS OF MUSICAL LEGACY IN HEART-WRENCHING “ME ESTÁ DOLIENDO”

Miami, Florida (May 8, 2025) – Global ambassador of contemporary Mexican Music, Carín León, joins forces with Regional Mexican music icon Alejandro Fernández in the heart-wrenching ballad “Me Está Doliendo.” The single is available starting today on all digital platforms.

In this powerful first-time collaboration, these titans of Mexican music blend their voices in a soul-baring ranchera ballad that lays bare the rawness of heartbreak.

Me Está Doliendo” explores the contradictions of wounded pride: a man begging his friends to take away his phone to resist the urge to contact his former love, while confessing his heart "beats very slowly" in her absence.

With arrangements that honor traditional ranchera music while adding contemporary touches, Carín and ‘El Potrillo’ convey that raw, honest vulnerability where alcohol dissolves the barriers of pride, revealing an inescapable truth of the heart: “para amarte salió bueno, pa’ olvidarte salió malo” (loving you came easily, forgetting you proved impossible, in English).

This collaboration comes just three days after Carín performed a fragment of “Me Dediqué a Perderte” on social media, Alejandro Fernández’s worldwide hit that marked a milestone in the career of the Fernández dynasty heir and was part of his 2004 album A Corazón Abierto.

Me Está Doliendo” will be part of an extended version of his celebrated album Palabra de To's, released in December 2024, in which León invited 28 of the most recognized songwriters and members of the new school of Latin American lyricists for a project comprising 16 tracks, curated by Edgar Barrera, and produced by Antonio Zepeda, Alberto Medina, and Carín León himself.

Additionally, León will release his second collaboration with Maluma at the end of the month, “Si Tú Me Vieras,” a track that the Latin superstars premiered during Maluma’s return to Medellín's Atanasio Girardot stadium for the “Medallo en el Mapa 2.0” concert. This track will also be part of León’s new album, which will be released in the coming weeks.
