SUPERGLUE, the new album from acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Ella Vos, is out now—listen here and pre-order the limited edition vinyl here.

A video for the record’s title track is also out today as the last of a four-part series directed by Kate Rentz and created with an all-women team in the Angeles National Forest. The series is inspired by the four classical elements—“Mindreader” (fire), “Mountain” (earth), “Glitter and Tears” (water) and finally, “Superglue” (air)—watch the new video here.

Of the title track, Vos says, “‘Superglue’ is about healing the heart. Tommy and I wrote this together not long after we started dating. We came into each other’s lives at such a critical point—finding a partner before the pandemic felt like an enormous gift. I can’t imagine the mess I would have been if I’d been alone, especially after the couple years I’d just had. Creating this together was incredibly fun and restored my inner child.”

“Cannabis has also played a big part in my healing and creative process,” Vos continues. “I love that we could compare our new love together with the name of a weed strain and fuse it all together into this soothing, bubbly druggy song.”

Created with her husband Tommy English (Kacey Musgraves, Noah Cyrus) in their home studios in Highland Park, Los Angeles, SUPERGLUE is Vos’ first full length record since 2020. The new album documents a season of rebirth and transformation for Vos following a series of intractable life shifts—postpartum depression, her diagnosis with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2018 (she is now in remission), navigating early days of lockdown with a new partner and more.

“As I began a new chapter of my life, the writing that resulted was from a place of healing,” Vos says. “So many defining moments have happened since the start of my career: I became a mother, battled postpartum depression, was diagnosed with cancer and a chronic illness, and got divorced. In some ways, when I started to pursue my dreams, my life as I knew it fell apart. But the result of the ‘falling apart’ is the beautiful new life that has grown up through the ashes.”

In celebration of the new music, Vos will embark on The Microdose Tour, a multi-part series of select U.S. performances kicking off in May—see below for a list of West Coast dates with venues and additional shows to be announced imminently.

Acclaimed for her dreamy soundscapes and songwriting that explores modern women’s lives in their totality, Vos released the Watch and Wait EP in 2019 to critical acclaim from The New York Times, UPROXX (which called it “cathartic and confessional”), Earmilk and more. Vos went on to play a series of music festivals and embarked on a full headline tour while undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Her 2017 debut album, Words I Never Said, was praised by the likes of Rolling Stone, HuffPost, Nylon, Coveteur and more. Vos has consistently sold out shows across North America, and with more than 300 million streams amassed independently, her songs have soundtracked hit series on ABC, MTV, E!, The CW and more.
